Eine bestehende Zelle wurde 762 von Pippin III. zum Kloster erhoben und Prüm unterstellt. Zum Gründungsbau gibt es keine Erkenntnisse. Im 2. Viertel des 13. Jahrhunderts entstand der noch bestehende Neubau mit Chorturm und Apsis, das Langhaus wurde 1791 erneuert.
Une cellule existante fut élevée au rang de monastère par Pépin III en 762 et placée sous la tutelle de Prüm. On ne dispose d'aucune information sur la construction de la fondation. Le nouvel édifice encore existant avec tour de choeur et abside a été construit dans le 2e quart du 13e siècle, la nef a été rénovée en 1791.
